In 2000, George Chacona retired from the group and Peter Chacona Jr. became the new bass. The rest is Rock and Roll history. Gene and the Casinos 1967 hit " Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye " was number six on the charts and remains an enduring rock and roll favvorite. The New Casinos history under the direction of Pete Gamby includes appearances within the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden, The Brooklyn Paramount, and concert stages of Atlantic City with such rock and roll legends as Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, The Platters and other vocal greats too numerous to mention.
